Original parish Church of St. John the Baptist doubt existed about the middle fifteenth century (it was demolished in the late eighteenth century). In the first half of the fifteenth century, in another place, near the market, there was built a new wooden Church burned down by the Tatars in 1624
The present parish Church was donated by Regina Konstancja ze Słupeckich Balowa in 1640-1650 and was built in the mid-seventeenth century, thanks to the efforts of the then parish priest Jan Oleszko. The Church was consecrated in 1663, partially destroyed by fire in 1737, renovated and rebuilt again in 1760, thanks to the foundation of Anastazja z Grabowskich Śleszyńska. In the 1990s the Church was completely renovated.
