Former Norbertian monastery - abbey founded in 1228 by the Duke of Opole Casimir I. The medieval Church and monastery surrounded by fortifications from around 1600.
Abandoned during the Thirty Years' War, burnt by the Swedes in 1643. The current one re-built on the site of the medieval one in 1648. Includes the Church, monastery and so-called prelature surrounded with partly preserved fortifications. Outstanding Baroque work of residential grandeur and richness of architectural forms of the facade and interiors. Today, it is the St. Henry caring facility for children with disabilities.
