Walking along the wall surrounding the Old Town south we can easily notice the tower impressively ornamented – it's just The Gołębnik Tower.
Like most of Torun fortification buildings, the tower was built of brocs in XIV century. It is a gothic building what is proved bu among others blendes filled in with decoration on its slender body. How however explain the origin of its name? So in XIX century the mail pigeons were stocked in the tower what is confirmed by metal trusses to support cages.
