The existing temple was built in 1849, on the site of an older wooden Church. Next to the Church there is a historic wooden belfry.
Orthodox Church in Stubienko was subject to the parish Church in Stubno. After the expulsion of the Ukrainians, the Orthodox Church was used as the Roman Catholic Church. It was renovated in 1976. The original iconostasis of the Church was moved to a modern Orthodox Church in Mokre (Bieszczady). The temple is oriented, of log construction, three-part complex of a sanctuary, nave and women's gallery. Vesrty and a storeroom are adjacent to the sanctuary.
