The museum is housed in a neoclassical palace of the 19th century, designed by architect Leandro Marconi, located in the historic park with an area of 2.6 hectares. Permanent exhibitions: "Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski from the end of the 16th century to 1939".
The museum's collection includes, among others: melee weapons and firearms, Polish and foreign medals and medallions from the 18th to the 20th century, the treasures of coins: roman coins from Chmielowo and Nietulisk, photographs of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski of the 19th and 20th century, photographs of historic buildings from the area of Kielce, metal products: trays, sugar bowls, baskets for pastries and fruit, candlesticks, lamps. Judaica include, among others, Hanukkah lamps, Kiddush glasses and cups.
