One of Hrubieszow temples had a very turbulent and volatile history. It was built as a Church for the Russian soldiers, it served as a Church for the Polish garrison, and even as the stables and a military magazine of the German army.
Orthodox garrison Church was built in 1905. Today it is used – after being rebuilt in 1981-1982 according to the plan of prof. Wiktor Zin - as a parish Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In the past, it also served as a garrison Church, stables for horses and storage place for the German army. It was only in the 80s of last century, when the building again played the role of mainstream Catholic Church.
