Kolno has been a multicultural town for many centuries. Cemeteries are the remains of this period, e.g. a Jewish cemetery with a few tombstones left.
Jewish cemetery in Kolno was founded in 1817. There are about 100 tombstones on the area of 1,8 hectare now. In September 2005 the Jewish Heritage Protection Foundation in Poland rebuilt 600 metres of the wall and built a new wrought entrance gate.
