Kielce History Museum is housed in a tenement house built in the mid-nineteenth century on the site purchased in 1843 by the Land Credit Association.
The idea of creating a museum dedicated to the history of Kielce dates back to the beginnings of Kielce museology. The history of the city materialized in the form of exhibitions and collections of the museum of Polish Tourist Association, created in Kielce in 1908. This referred to the oldest museum collections in the history of Kielce created in the 19th century in the Academy of Mining and the Voivodeship School and recalled the activities of the head of kielecki poviat, collector and patron of the arts - Tomasz Zieliński and the passion for collecting of Jaroński family.
