The region of Hrubieszow is associated with small wooden Orthodox churches, but among the monuments there are also nice wooden Roman Catholic churches.
The parish in the village of Moniatycze was mentioned as early as 1472. Currently it is the Parish Church of Saint Apostles Peter and Paul, a wooden log construction, built in 1870, designed by Valerian Pliszczyński. Inside, the main altar there are baroque sculptures of St. Anna and St. Joachim. There is a wooden bell tower next to the church, and two contemporary church rectories: a brick one from the years 1914 to 1918 and a wooden one from the end of the nineteenth century. By the church there is a Roman Catholic cemetery with graves of Polish soldiers murdered by the Bolsheviks in 1920.
