The place from which went the first transport of prisoners to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Monument was rised in the place from which the Nazis on 14 June 1940, led a group of 728 people, the Poles from Tarnów and the surrounding area to the first transport to the concentration camp of Auschwitz. The monument is made of stone and concrete (it symbolizes Auschwitz stripes) and metal parts. The metal frieze with figures (symbolizing the march to Auschwitz) made in a workshop of Marian Biedroński, plastic items on the concrete forged Stone Workshop of Alfred Gucwy.
