The commune of Prudnik invites to visit a church representing late-baroque style.
It is presumed that the date 1279 is a time of establishing the church of St. Michelangelo, despite the fact that the first records of first rector in Prudnik in documentation come from XIV century. The church from 1279 existed as a wooden object until 1612, the time when started building a new church characterised by its renaissance style, building of the church was finished in 1638 due to the fire meanwhile. In 1730, the church was built once again due to another fire that appeared before it was finished. Eight years later the church was rebuilt and ceremonially consecrated with the protection of St.Michelangelo. Next years, the church was decorated and there was built a huge tower with bells. Present form of the church is from XVIII century and represents late-baroque style. The church is made of stone(brick), with 3 naves with huge gallery inside connected with a loft, organs and a tower.
