Regional Museum in Pinczów was founded in 1963. The Museum's collections come from Ponidzie and document the traditions, history and culture of the region from the earliest times to the present day.
Initially, it received one room in former Baroque monastery of the Order of Saint Paul the First Hermit. The origin of the structure date back to 1431-1449, and the present form of a flat four-sided body with patio in the middle was probably given during reconstruction in 1630-1642. After obtaining additional rooms, it started exhibiting in 1970.
Currently, the museum includes archaeological and ethnographic departments.
