A late-Baroque Sending of St. Apostles Parish Church is the most treasured monument in Chełm. Worth to see.
It was build in the place of a temple from 15th century. Present building was build within years 1753-1763. The design for this temple was made by Paweł Fontana and it is said to be one of his greatest work. Tomasz Rezler was in charge of the building and inside one can find Michał Filewicz's sculptures, Szymon Czechowicz's paintings and a polychromy of Józef Mayer, who was the King's August III court paiter. The mass of the church is unique. One can be delighted by its octagonal main body, sypplemented by two towers situated in the corner of facade.
