In Strzyżów old wooden Uniate Church of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary from 1817, may prove of particular interest for visitors.
The first mention of a Church in Strzyżów dates from 1507. It was rebuilt twice. In 1875 after the liquidation of the Uniate diocese of Chełm, the Church was converted to Orthodox Church. The wooden Church of 1817 stands to this day, currently used as a Roman Catholic Church. The Church is accompanied by a wooden bell tower, also from 1817, and the rectory of 1925.
