A picturesque renaissance Church located almost in the centre of town.
Rector’s Church built in 1582-1602, belonged to Capuchin “Klaryski” nuns in the past. Despite the fact that in 1993 it was taken over by Capuchin monks, the inhabitants of Bydgoszcz call it the “Klaryski” Church. The Church has renaissance and mannerist architectural elements (including 17th century frescos) with more contemporary additions, i.e. renaissance stone portal from 1922-1925. The wooden ceiling with a flower-shaped coffer makes the biggest impression. It’s also worth to take a look at the painting of St. Saint Stanislaus Kostka by L. Wyczółkowski.
