Renaissance Town Hall in Lubsko



The renaissance town hall in Lubsko, was built among 1580 and 1582 by Italian architect Antonio Alberi.

The renaissance town hall in Lubsko, was built among 1580 and 1582 by Italian architect Antonio Alberi. It is situated in the eastern side of the market square and it is rectangular in shape. It has a simple view typical for the style of renaissance. On the stone element of the entrance gate, there is a coat of arms of Lubsko. In the first floor there is a door made of iron with the date 1582. On the walls of the town hall there is a board commemorating Jan Rak - famous Lusatian poet who lived in 1457 - 1520. He wrote many poems in Latin praising his homeland - Lusatia and Lubsko.
